Fish can count to four, according to new research by people who do research, commonly referred to as researchers. This puts fish in a club that also includes monkeys and human infants between the ages of six and twelve months.
Put another way, fish are better at math than your three month old kid. If fish spoke English, they’d be able to appreciate a good deal of that Feist song from the iPod ads. They’d not only be able to enjoy a good chuckle at the I have 3 PS3s video, but the inevitable response as well.
And yet, people have zero respect for fish, even going so far as to effectively put them in a category that seems to be below that of other creatures, what with so many misconceptions that vegetarians eat fish and whatnot.
